With her fiery red hair and her voluptuous curls, Elizabeth Scarlette Jagger, aka Lizzy Jagger, is the embodiment of a furiously rock-n-roll woman! This profile won over the brand Redken, which has made her its new muse, thus joining the highly glamorous ranks of the American brand’s muses, which include top model Mariacarla Boscono, the young English actress Suki Waterhouse, Brazilian and Japanese models Léa T and Soo Joo and the star blogger Chiara Ferragni. We met with these muses:
Her name as well as her style were surely passed down from her parents, two icons of the seventies, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall. As a model since the age of 5 (modeling for Chanel with her mother), Lizzy Jagger has graced the stages of the biggest designers like Vivienne Westwood and Tommy Hilfiger, and has represented campaigns for Sonia Rykiel and Burberry. Today, the young 32-year-old woman is interested in cinema, specifically in directing feature films. And for this transformation into a muse, Redken colorist and artist George Garcia did not hesitate to accentuate her red hair with a ruby-red color, alongside hairstyling star Guido Palau.
How would you describe your everyday hairstyle and how do you do it?
L.J: I like to keep it down for every day. Just with a little soft waves and bounce. The Windblown spray is perfect for light easy texture for loose waves.
How did you settle on the color?
L.J: I first dyed it for my 30th birthday party. I really wanted an extreme makeover and was inspired by Ariel from The Little Mermaid. I have always loved red heads, like Ariel and Lucy from I Love Lucy. I dyed it a really bright red and loved it but it was a bit too much of a cartoon color. Now I have a deeper tone of red that’s much more natural looking. It a deep tone of ruby red – I love it!
What’s the last great hair technique you learned?
L.J: Always go to a colorist in the salon for your color! Thank god I have Redken now and my colorist George Garcia.
What are your top three favorite hair products and why?
L.J: I use the Redken Color Extend Magnetics line. It’s great for freshly dyed hair and to keep your color vibrant. Every three months I’ve been doing the new Heatcure treatment. It makes your hair feel so soft yet strong after. For night I love the Diamond Oil. I’ll use it as a treatment about once a week before I go to bed. It’s also great to just add a few drops into your hair before going out. Night out hair? I love loose bouncy waves and wearing it down. I add a bit of shine with a few drops of Diamond Oil before I leave the house. If it’s a night out dancing then I always do a high ponytail braid. You need to keep it out of the way on the dance floor!
